Putman Lake Cabin and Bunkhouse Description
Welcome to the Putman Lake Cabin and Bunkhouse! Our mid-century modern 1 bedroom, 768 square ft. cabin PLUS 10x10 Bunkhouse showcases peaceful views of Putman Lake, and abundant access to natural areas and recreation opportunities. Many come to Baldwin in Northern Michigan on vacation to canoe, fish, hunt, ATV, or snowmobile. Lake County consists of 156 lakes, and 46 trout streams, four major rivers, over 310 miles of ORV & ATV trails, and over 900 miles of groomed connecting snowmobile trails. The nearby Pere Marquette River is one of America's Blue Ribbon fisheries. Baldwin is just 35 minutes from Ludington on Lake Michigan, and 90 minutes south of Traverse City and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.
The home features a full-size kitchen area with modern appliances and cooking basics, a living area with a pull-out queen-sized couch, a dining area, a spacious bedroom with a queen-sized bed, washer-dryer, and a full bathroom. Additionally, there is a detached Bunkhouse that includes a queen-sized bed, and a small loft including a twin mattress, the perfect spot for both adults and kids.
The back deck provides plenty of extra space for outdoor seating and watching friends/family fishing off the dock or exploring Putman Lake on the Cabin's pedal-boat or rowboat. There are two fire pits for making smores and enjoying being outside when the evening comes. There are PFDs, camping chairs, and an hatchet for splitting wood in the cabinet attached to the bunkhouse. The shed is locked for personal belongings and the pontoon boat is not available for guests. The Cabin has a circle drive with ample gravel parking space, and the Cabin is relatively accessible as a single story home with only three smaller stairs to the door. The Cabin does include internet access through a hot-spot and has a smart TV, but note that service can be spotty dependent on weather.
